A great new year to train!! |
|
Well, here we are in 2009. The parties are over, the turkeys have been thoroughly ransacked and thoughts turn to the resolutions that were hastily made. Dig out those snowshoes and teach someone how to spell toque! HRSAR has lots to keep us all busy in the upcoming months.
January alone will have us up and at'em starting with a Mock Search on Monday night, the 5th. Have your gear and be ready to search in the snow, ice, slush or rain.
Following, on the 12th, we'll be navigating and looking for the prize!
The 19th will have us learn more about HRSAR's External training. What they do and for whom.
And yes, the 26th is the first of 2009's riveting and engaging monthly meetings that keep HRSAR moving forward. (coffee is available)
Anyway, there's also a SAR management meeting on the 15th and an ITC meeting on the 22nd.
WRFRs can recertify on the 16th to 18th, contact Blair Doyle for details.
The full 2009 calendar is available as a pdf that is downloadable from the document section of this web site.
Don't forget, February starts with the "Surviving with HRSAR" session. The Monday is for every member but is a prerequisite for the weekend. See you at the base!
